Veterans Services

We are proud to support active duty military  and military veterans in our community. If you have any questions about our services, please use our contact form or call our office at 830-643-0200.

If you are a veteran currently experiencing a mental health crisis, you may call the Veterans Crisis Line to talk to someone now.

Counseling

Thanks to a generous contribution from the community, River City Advocacy is able to offer a limited number of counseling sessions free of charge to those who are military veterans or who are dependents of a military veteran. Proof of military service in form of DD 214 is required at time of service.

To learn more about our counseling services, please see our Counseling page.

Support Groups

In addition to our individual counseling services, we have two support groups for active duty military and veterans. Our veterans support groups, like our other support groups, are free of charge. Each support group is facilitated by either a male or female Licensed Professional Counselor – Intern who is also a military veteran. These groups are not open to family and dependents.
