River City Advocacy stands in the belief that people need communities of support nearly as much as standard necessities of life. Not only do we have a natural and biological desire for closeness and understanding, but we should all acknowledge that life is hard and doing it alone is an unrealistic goal. When we go through “big T” and “little t” traumas, having someone to speak to can help us overcome the overwhelming feelings.

We are happy to offer a variety of community events and support groups. Support groups are available Monday through Thursday weekly. Family Groups are available in partnership with NAMI. Please see schedule for days and times below. Check our upcoming events for special monthly programming.
