We have been operating as a non-profit for those seeking mental health support since 2001. Our offices and groups are primarily hosted on site at our location on San Antonio Street (1614 West San Antonio Street, New Braunfels TX 78130). We are working on collaborating with other non-profits to host more groups and counseling sessions in other areas around Comal County. We will post those sites once they are confirmed.

We are now accepting applications for our Counseling Program for ages 14 and up. Our on staff counselors are Licensed with the State of Texas. We are also privileged to host several interns each semester who are working on their masters and full License.

During some months, we experience a high volume of Counseling Requests. Our wait time for 1st appointment is averaging 2 weeks depending on client availability.

For questions, please call our office at 830-643-0200 or email counseling@rivercityadvocacy.org

Why We’re Here

Mental health and wellness is already on the minds of millions of Texans: 76% of Texans have a a friend or family member that has experienced a mental health issue, and 9 in 10 believe it’s harder to discuss a mental health condition than a physical illness.* Despite this, many in need of care do not have access to affordable, quality mental health services. We know that Texans deserve better, and our community deserves better.
