Peer Programs

Find Community in a Peer Program

River City Advocacy’s Peer Support groups are for anyone who needs emotional support and community. Reasons someone may attend a peer group include chronic illness, a personal loss, childhood trauma, divorce, domestic violence or even a recovery victory worth sharing.

A Certified Peer Specialist or another qualified staff member facilitates our support groups. Discussion is primarily driven by peers who share their stories of resilience and offer hope and support for one another.

To attend our peer program activities, please download the application and return it by email as an attachment to our peer program coordinator, Susan Tjernagel, at [email protected]. If you prefer paper forms, please visit our office to fill out an application in person.

If you have any questions, please call 830-643-0200, or call Susan directly at 830-515-5454.

We know the power of group sharing and community stewardship. We hope you take the opportunity to experience it firsthand.
